As a first post, I want to say hello, but I would also like to start things off in a way that pertains to writing. So, for this initial intro, let’s look at the first rule of writing:
It seems simple enough, but really, so much doesn’t get written because a writer doesn’t just put the darn pen to paper. Writers are expert procrastinators. We will come up with every reason under the sun for why we can’t sit down to write just yet: we don’t have the proper inspiration, we’re not sure where the story is going, we don’t know where the story/chapter is supposed to start, we’re too tired, we’re too depressed, we’re too busy… Even for no good reason at all, we seem to avoid the actual WRITING part of our writing career more than we should.
